Our Managing Director Mr Michael Pope has many years experience building landmark buildings throughout Australia and the world with some of Australia’s major listed builders. Mr Colin Hanna has been a property developer and investor for more than 15 years. Combining the skills of the Directors with the skills of many selected specialist subcontractors Next Generation Constructions is positioned to achieve the highest standard of finished product for clients.
Michael Pope Managing Director
Michael brings over 30 years’ experience in the Australian construction industry to his role of Managing Director at Next Generation Constructions. A registered building practitioner in both residential and commercial building projects, Michael was also Managing Director at Structural Systems Pty Ltd for a number of years where he specialised in leading the delivery of landmark commercial and residential towers specialising in the construction of building formwork. He was also Operations Manager at Grollo, Victoria, leading the team in the completion of some of Victoria’s most prestigious building projects. Michael’s depth of industry experience and reputation for delivering complex projects, both on a large and small scale, has also led him to consult on numerous projects in the construction industry, including residential and commercial builds. Highly focused and solution-oriented, Michael is an excellent communicator and enjoys a collaborative approach with all project stakeholders to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
A life-long ‘builder’ of things, Michael is happiest with sleeves rolled up ready to go. When he is not on site, you can find him indulging in his second passion in life – surfing.

Karen ensures that clients have a streamlined and engaging experience with Next Generation Constructions and that the customer experience is highly positive. Super organised and with excellent attention to detail, Karen ensures client needs are being met throughout every phase of the project, that all protocols are being met and record keeping requirements are precise and always up to date. A regular on site, Karen is across all aspects of the build and manages the administrative requirements of the project so Michael and the Next Generation team can focus on the build.
